While Autumn has just arrived in RL, I decided to skip ahead a bit for this photo and placed my cosy new cave from E-mesh in our virtual “North”. Together with other Genre pieces from Paper Moon and Nantra as well as tattoos by Fallen Gods, I got myself ready for a snowy hunt.
The Secret Affair is now open and as already teased in my previous post, this round is all about gold. Aisling has a veritable cornucopia of different releases out and I also pulled out some favourites of mine from their previous releases to complete this look. Add to that some gorgeous curls from Wasabi Pills for the Crossroads and a stunning Grecian temple from Fallen Gods.
Have you been to Hair Fair yet? If not, there’s four sims of hair waiting to be thoroughly demoed. And if you already have gone through it once, take a second round (I thoroughly recommend cam-shopping from one of the two extra sims provided for that purpose). It is for a good cause, after all, and you can never have enough hair! If long styles are your passion, you definitely need to check out these three styles from Wasabi Pills.
It isn’t just Romp that is giving a look at the kinkier side of Second Life right now. The current round of the Fantasy Collective caters to a particular kind of fantasies and it is there that we find this bold Courtesan gown from Fallen Gods & Faida. Another pair of ongoing events are the Secret Affair and of course Hair Fair, both represented with new releases from Noble Creations and LeLutka.
A few days still remain of the Fantasy Faire, but I am taking a little semi-break to sneak in some other items as well. With this saucy Faida & Fallen Gods collaboration from the Epiphany, I decided that some lounging about on the opulent Justine couch (also by Fallen Gods) would be just the right environment. The hair, however, is actually from the Fantasy Faire and by Wasabi Pills.
I am not out of the woods yet. In fact, I am not sure that I will be able to get the woods out of me this time, thanks to Alia Baroque’s newest release for We Love Role-Play. Fallen Gods is offering both a new set of Wood Nymph skins (for men and women) and several new tattoos with a very green theme. I thought they were a great match for The Plastik’s offering for the same event, a set of impressive horns with an optional braid for fitting them to your existing hair.
The Whimsical event has just opened and it looks like it has a great mix of items, some gachas and some regular purchases. One of the gachas is a very elaborate set from the Plastik. I added on a tattoo from Fallen Gods (from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival) and headed out into the woods.
The Gacha Garden opens a new round on February 1st and the Plastik is participating with a striking jewellery set. I decided to head down to our new little oasis (still under construction, but getting there) to show off one beautiful colour combination on the rares from the set.
Another day, another winter scene, but I love the season and want to enjoy it as much as possible while it lasts. Today, I am doing so in an outfit with influences from the east courtesy of Fallen Gods and Faida, accessorized by the Plastik and in the company of a wise old owl from Jian.
I had an unwanted visitor this week in the shape of a cold, so I have spent a few frustrated days getting nothing at all done and seeing various things build up, including the number of review copies in my inventory. I’ll be playing catch-up for a while, I can tell, so I might as well dive in right away to give you some new releases from Zaara, Aisling, Fallen Gods & Faida and Jian.
Apologies for the random Swedish, but with Christmas closing in and adorable foxes from Jian for We Love Role-Play to review, my mind turned to a particular Swedish Christmas song. It does not, however, involve any naked frost fairies!
As I mentioned earlier, the commons from the Plaisir set by Fallen Gods and Faida for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival are very pretty. So, today I am wearing half of the set, combined with an upcoming necklace from Aisling.
I have slipped a bit behind on my blogging of late, but this time it is Second Life itself that is to blame. More specifically, Jammin’s various construction sets. I had been eyeing those for a good while, and when the brand-new Dungeon Construction Set came out, I decided that with that set I could probably construct something castle-like. Not quite a castle yet, since the existing sets don’t quite lend themselves to a full-scale castle, but the dungeon set definitely offers a lot of new interior space options. So, our work in progress is the backdrop for this photo session, which also includes a dress from Fallen Gods and Faida, a necklace from Aisling and a statue from Paper Moon and the Muses under the Visage name.
A new round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival has started and Aisling is participating with an elaborate, art nouveau-inspired jewellery set. I decided to stage the shot in one of our little patches of woodland, using the Titania’s Feast set from the Muses as part of the scene. I am also wearing a pair of brand new mesh eyes from PXL.
Fallen Gods has some fabulous new releases out for Wayward Halloween, including a charming Victorian-inspired gown created in collaboration with Faida. It seemed like a good fit for a library setting (courtesy of the library skybox from Garden of Dreams), especially together with some occult books from Paper Moon.
